Oops! I had a long break from blogging. But you will have me excused. I was in the middle of a big project and I realized that I needed to step on it.

I had to outsource some of my work, and even  then it was necessary for me to increase my capacity. There is an interesting thread here (https://shar.es/1OvVCW) about what daily word capacity should be expected of a translator, and what translators expect of themselves. As many opinions as there are translators, or even more. ;-)

Anyway, I found that I could go up to 4000 words and sustain it. I believe that on some days my capacity peaked as high as 5000 words. This morning the last pieces of the big project left my outbox.
And after that, during the next four hours I translated some 2500 words for another client and took half an hour to review it after translation. The document was slightly technical, and this shows that 4000 words is attainable, depending, of course, on the subject matter.
